Why Bitta

Creative?

(Great Question! Don’t worry, this isn’t a “why choose us” pitch, this is why I named us Bitta.)

What they don’t teach you in design school is that nobody outside the Art & Design department actually knows what a Graphic Designer does. You get a lot of “So you make websites?” or “Oh, I use Canva all the time too!”

The beauty of having a creative job? When you need to get creative with your career, you’re well-prepared. I had to become a bit of this, a bit of that, from a logo designer, to a brand strategist, a website builder, a social media manager, a marketing consultant, and occasional coffee-fueled miracle worker.

Turns out, I do a bitta everything creative. Hence the name.

And honestly? That’s exactly what most businesses actually need. Not just someone who makes things look good (though yes, that too), but someone who understands your brand is connected to everything, your positioning, your marketing, your growth. Someone who cares as much about whether it works as whether it looks good.

TL;DR: Nobody gets what graphic designers actually do, so I learned a bit of everything. Bitta this, bitta that…you get it.

Branding & identity design (logos, visual systems, brand guidelines), digital design (websites, social content, email campaigns), marketing collateral (pitch decks, one-pagers, sales materials), and packaging.
If it requires design and strategic thinking, I’m in.

Driven by Curiosity. Grounded in Design.

Hi! I’m Michelle and I’ve been a brand designer since 2012, working across non-profits, healthcare, creative agencies, and Fortune 500 companies. Whether it’s logo design, brand strategy, website design, or full visual identity systems, I’ve learned that design isn’t just what I do, it’s what I always come back to. Over the years, one thing has become crystal clear: design is where I belong.

TLDR: You need a brand designer who gets the big picture. I’m annoyingly good at that.

Questions? I've Got Answers.

How much do your services cost?

Honestly, it depends on what you need and how we want to approach it. I’d rather have a real conversation about your goals and budget than throw random numbers at you. Every business is different, every project has its own personality, and I like to craft proposals that actually work for you. Smaller branding projects start around $1,800, but let’s chat about what you actually need and we can do as much or as little as you need.

Do you only work with local businesses?

Nope, I work globally! I love working with businesses regardless of where they’re located. I’m based in North Carolina, but I’ve collaborated with clients across the US, Canada, Europe, and beyond. Time zones might be different, but great design is universal.

I'm not sure exactly what I need. Can you help figure that out?

That’s literally my favorite part! I love helping businesses figure out their creative needs. We’ll start with a 30 minute discovery call to map out what makes the most sense for your goals and budget.

What if I need changes after the project is done?

All projects include a set number of revisions. After that, I offer ongoing support at an hourly rate. Think of me as your creative department on retainer.

What industries do you work with?

I love variety! Cannabis brands, craft beverages, tech startups, local restaurants—I’ve done a bitta this, a bitta that. Packaging design is something I really enjoy. There’s nothing like creating designs that make people stop mid-scroll or reach for your product on the shelf.

I’ve done branding, web design, packaging, convention booth design. The through-line? Good design principles work everywhere, whether you’re launching a CBD beverage line or a SaaS platform. I love learning what makes different businesses tick.

Your industry expertise + my creative skills = magic.

Do you do one-off projects or just full rebrands?

Both! Need just a logo? Cool. Want business cards designed? Perfect. Prefer to tackle everything at once? Even better. I’m flexible and can work with whatever scope makes sense for you right now.

How long does a typical project take?

It depends on the scope, but here’s a rough guide: logos usually take 2-3 weeks, full brand identities 6-8 weeks, and websites 5-8 weeks. Do you have a rush project? I’m always open to talk about expedited timelines if you’re up against a deadline.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! I typically split projects into milestones (like 50% upfront, 50% on completion), but I’m open to discussing what works for your budget. Let’s figure it out together.

Can you work with my existing brand, or do I need a full rebrand?

Totally! Sometimes you just need a refresh, a new website, updated collateral, or extending your brand into new areas. We’ll assess what’s working and what’s not, then go from there.

Do you sign NDAs?

Absolutely, if your project requires it. Discretion and professionalism are part of the package.

What do I need to prepare before we start?

Not much! Just come ready to talk about your business, your goals, and what’s keeping you up at night. I’ll ask the right questions to get everything else we need. If you have existing brand materials, logos, or inspo, please bring those along too. I will connect with you prior to our first meeting with a quick questionaire just so we can make the most of our time together.

What's your design process like?

I’m big on collaboration, not surprises. We start with a discovery call, then I dig into research and strategy. You’ll see concepts, we’ll refine together, and I’ll deliver files you can actually use. I keep you in the loop the whole way, so no ghosting you for weeks then reappearing with a surprise reveal.
